| The Joint Tropical Research Unit was established in 1962 as a joint research unit controlled by both the Australian and British Governments. An amalgamation took place between the Joint Tropical Research Unit and the Army Tropical Trials Establishment in 1977, forming the Joint Tropical Trial Research Establishment. |
