Australian Meat Research Committee (1966 - 1985)

In March 1966 the Australian Cattle and Beef Research Committee became the Australian Meat Research Committee. The Committee was responsible for scientific, technical and economic research into all aspects affecting the meat industry. Amongst its functions were also training people to undertake this research and the publication of results. The Committee ceased existence in 1985. The Australian Meat and Livestock Research and Development Corporation took control of its functions in the same year.
