The Division of Wool Technology was part of CSIRO's Institute of Animal Production and Processing. It followed the Divisions of Textile Industry, Textile Physics and Protein Chemistry. In 1996 New South Wales branch of the Division was closed and in 1999 the remainder changed its name once again, becoming Textile and Fibre Technology.
