The McMaster Laboratory took the place of the F. D. McMaster Animal Health Laboratory in 1963. The Laboratory was part of the Division of Animal Health. In 1995 the Laboratory was relocated from Glebe to Prespect. In 2001 the Laboratory was re-established in Armidale, New South Wales, as the F. D. McMaster Laboratory, Chiswick.
