| In April 1952 the Atomic Energy Policy Committee replaced the former Industrial Atomic Energy Policy Committee due to a recommendation that a committee with broader terms of reference should be established. This new committee was responsible for advising the Government on all issues relating to atomic Energy. In November 1952 the Australian Atomic Energy Commission was created, thus disbanding the Atomic Energy Policy Committee. |
