| The Division of Environmental Mechanics was established in July 1971. Previously, it had been the Agricultural Physics Section, within the Division of Plant Industry. After twenty five years of operation, the Division joined the Divisions of Soils and Water Resources, in 1997, to form the new Division of Land and Water. |
