| George Henry Michell began a wool business in South Australia in 1870. From this beginning grew G. H. Michell and Sons (Aust) Pty Ltd. The company undertook wool scouring, carbonising and combing, as well as tanning sheep skin and hide. Originally located in Undalya, South Australia, the company later moved to Hindmarsh and then Salisbury. In the 1980s the company underwent a change of name, becoming Michell Australia Pty Ltd. |
