| The Electronics Research Laboratory was formed in 1978, as a result of the division of the Weapons Research Establishment into four laboratories, known collectively as the Defence Research Centre. In 1987 a reorganisation took place with the functions of the Electronics Research Laboratory being divided between the newly formed Surveillance Research Laboratory and Electronics Research Laboratory. |
