Victorian Department of Natural Resources and Environment (1996 - 2002)

From their Web site, June 2002: "The Department of Natural Resources and Environment is responsible for the integrated management of Victoria's natural resource base, including land identification, resource development and utilisation and the protection, conservation and management of Victoria's natural environment."

In December 2002 the Department was split into two separate entitites: The Department of Sustainability and Environment and The Department of Primary Industries.
