Established in 1981, Nicholas Kiwi Limited took the place of Nicholas International Ltd and the Kiwi International Co. Ltd. The company manufactured proprietary medicines, toiletries and confectionery. It was also a holding company for shoe care and cleaning products. In 1984 Nicholas Kiwi Limited was acquired by the American based Consolidated Foods Corporation, later known as the Sara Lee Corporation.
