Simpson Holdings Limited was established in 1853 as a holding company for subsidiaries. Services undertaken by the company and its subsidiaries included the manufacture and distribution of domestic appliances, electric motors and kitchen cupboards. Simpsons Holdings Ltd. in conjunction with BHP Coated Products Division produced the renowned Tucker Box freezer which gained a design award. In 1986 the company was taken over by Email Limited.
