| The Commonwealth Government established the Technical Committee on Agricultural Chemicals to evaluate and approval for use chemicals in the timber, food and agricultural industries. Some issues they dealt with were preservatives used in the timber, tobacco and other industries and the safety of new and old pesticides. |
