Morwell Power Station (1958 - )

Function: Energy and Public Utilities

Location: Morwell, Victoria, Australia

The first of Morwell Power Station's generating units went into service in November 1958. This was only Victoria's second power station at the time. The coal for the station cam efrom the Morwell Open Cut which opened in April 1949.
