| In December 1975 the Department of Science and Consumer Affairs was renamed the Department of Science. The Minister for the Department of Science for the three years it existed was the Hon. James Joseph Webster. The functions of the Department of Science, along with the environment and conservation functions of the Department of Environment Housing and Community Development were used to create the Department of Science and the Environment. |
