| Fred Walker started in business in 1899 and by 1908 was well established as an importer and exporter. Around 1910 he began canning food for export and in 1918 commenced the manufacture of Bonox. Vegemite was a major innovation from 1923 and in 1926 he formed the Kraft Walker Cheese Company Pty Ltd. These companies amalgamated in 1935. |
