Online SourcesPublished Sources
Function: Works and Transport
Location: Randwick, New South Wales, Australia
A locomotive workshop for Sydney's trams was renamed the Randwick Tramway Workshops in 1902. Workers from the Tramways Workshops were diverted to manufacturing armaments and artillery during the First and Second World Wars. With Sydney's trams ceasing to run in the early 1960s, Randwick Tramway Workshops became the resting place for many unused vehicles.
