The Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) for Aerospace Structures was established in July 1991 as part of the Cooperative Research Centres Program. Amongst the many areas researched by the CRC were design, manufacture and the performance of composite structures and materials. In July 1996 the CRC was replaces by the CRC for Advanced Composite Structures.
