| The Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) for Premium Quality Wool was established in July 1993. The CRC conducted research into genetic engineering, molecular and quantitative genetics, wool metrology, wool biology, wool processing, wool production and textile fibre science. Funding for the CRC ceased in 2000. |
