Established in July 1993, the Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) for Cattle and Beef Industry (Meat Quality) conducted research in areas such as meat science, molecular and quantitative genetics, growth and ruminant nutrition, stress physiology and animal behaviour. In July 1999 the CRC was replaced by the CRC for Cattle and Beef Quality.
