Established in July 1995, the Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) for Quality Wheat Products and Processes was replaced by the CRC for Value Added Wheat in July 2001. Amongst the areas of research covered by the CRC were cereal processing, cereal chemistry and biochemistry, protein and starch chemistry, antibody diagnostics, genetic engineering, polymer physics and rheology.
