The Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) for Construction Innovation was established in July 2001 when it revceived a seven year CRC grant. This CRC carries out research and development activities in five areas: virtual environments for lifecycle design and construction; construction project delivery strategies; environmental sustainability; integrated design and construction support systems; and management and adaptability of built assets.
