CRC for Clean Power from Lignite (1999 - )

In July 1999 the Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) for Clean Power from Lignite replaced the CRC for New Technologies for Power Generation from Low-Rank Coal. It received a seven year grant to research areas which include the properties and characteristics of lignite, the chemistry and physics of coal processing and mathematical and physical modelling.
