Medical History Museum (1967 - )

The Medical History Museum at the University of Melbourne was established by Professor Kenneth Russell in April 1967. The Museum is located within the University's Brownless Biomedical Library and houses over 4000 objects. A permanent exhibition is the Savory and Moore Pharmacy, established in London in 1797, its fittings and contents transported to Melbourne after its closure for display in the Museum.

The Medical History Museum is part of the Johnstone-Need Medical History Unit, and is administered by the Centre for Health and Society, School of Population Health.
