| In the early 1970s Kiwi Australia succeeded the Kiwi Polish Company. Kiwi Australia continued to manufacture shoe polishes and household cleaners. The origins of the company date back to 1901 when William Ramsay and Hamilton McKellan opened a small factory producing cleaning products in Carlton, Victoria. In 1906 they perfected a new polish to which William Ramsay gave the name Kiwi. |
