Gould League of New South Wales (1967 - ) |
| Function: Association and Society or Membership Organisation | |
| Location: Gladesville, New South Wales, Australia | |
| The Gould League of New South Wales was formed in 1967, when an amalgamation took place between the Gould League of Bird Lovers of New South Wales and the Junior Tree Wardens' League. From their Web site, January 2003: "Today the Gould League is interested in promoting the protection and preservation of the total environment. It does this, not only by encouraging membership of children, teachers and individuals, but also through the dissemination of a great variety of environmental books, posters and other materials. It functions as a non-profit organisation, its finances being derived from yearly affiliations, children’s membership and the sales of education materials." |
