| ASHET, the Australian Society for History of Engineering and Technology, is a non-profit society, incorporated in the state of New South Wales. It was established to encourage and promote community interest and education in the history of engineering and technology in Australia. It was conceived as a national society, with members throughout Australia, though in its beginnings a majority of the members were in Sydney, where the society was formed in 2003. ASHET is affilliated with the Royal Australian Historical Society. In late 2005 ASHET incorporated the activities of the Australian Science History Club. |
