Function: Association, Society or Membership Organisation and Chemical Industries
The Cereal Chemistry Division was one of the original divisions established by the Royal Australian Chemical Institute in 1964. However, its history dates back to 1950 when it operated as the first national group of the Australian Chemical Institute. Its chief function was to ‘organise an Annual Convention’ which was held in October 1951. The Division's mission has always been to advance the theory and practice of cereal chemistry in Australasia and to promote, advance and safeguard the scientific and professional interest of its members.
