The Environment Division of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute is one of the newest divisions. Its role is to promote and improve the teaching, research, policy development, and application of environmental chemistry in industry. It most likely took over from the Environmental Chemistry Division which was formed in 1987 during the 8th National Convention.
