Victoria University has significant expertise in researching issues of importance and working with a range of government, semi-government and industry across several key areas. These include a number of designated Research Centres that undertake focussed research activities and have achieved significant external support from industry and government.
The Computer Aided Learning Centre undertakes the research and development of new computer and multimedia technologies for their application in teaching at the primary and secondary school level and for tertiary education. The Centre also conducts major collaborative activities for the development of computer technologies for use in the government and business sectors.
Activities of the Centre for Telecommunications Technologies and Services include research, development, technology transfer and training in the area of mobile communications hardware and software, base station designs, optical data transmission and systems development for telecommunications, internet, multimedia and consumer electronics.
