This Series consists of various personal items and files of J.S. Turner including: passports; diaries and notebooks; memorabilia; curriculum vitae and materials related to J.S. Turner's career; notes and drafts for obituaries; mementos of trips; maps; photographs.

This is an "artificial" Series assembled by the University of Melbourne Archives. The Items included in this Series formed part of an Accession of materials collected from the home of J.S. and K. Turner in 1991.

The Items in this Series include reference to: Field Naturalists' Club of Victoria; celebrations for Turner's 80th birthday; J.S. Turner's OBE award; J.S.
