Stranks, Donald Richard (1929 - 1986)

Stranks was Professor of Inorganic Chemistry, University of Melbourne 1973 - 1976, and at the University of Adelaide 1964 - 1973. He was awarded the Inorganic Medal of the Royal Australian Chemical Institute for the first observations on the effect of high pressures on the rate of inversion and for the identification of the structural rearrangements of certain optically active molecules.
