The Director of First Year Studies in Biology is appointed to oversee the operation of the Biology Laboratory for Botany, Genetics and Zoology. As Co-ordinator of Genetics Education and Community Relations, Gleeson oversees programs for teachers and students, and genetics multimedia. Activities include in-service training programs for Biology teachers, lectures to school students, running practical programs for gifted children and the development of curriculum materials for the teaching of genetics.
