Hercus, Eric Oswald (1891 - 1962)

Born: 23 June 1891  New Zealand.  Died: 30 June 1962.

Hercus was a senior lecturer in Natural Philosophy, University of Melbourne 1919-31, and an associate professor 1931-56. He was interested in the measurement of heat.

Born 23 June 1891. Died 30 June 1962. Educated University of Otago (BSc), Victoria College, Wellington (MSc 1914) and University of Cambridge (1914-15, 1919). DSc, University of Melbourne 1928. Lieutenant, RNVR 1916-18, lecturer in natural philosophy, University of Melbourne 1919-23, senior lecturer 1923-31, associate professor 1931-56.
