Born: 18 May 1872  Adelaide, South Australia, Australia.  Died: 20 May 1948.

A'Beckett was a demonstrator and assistant lecturer in biology at the University of Melbourne from 1901. In later years she taught at schools, continued to work at the university and was closely involved in the Kindergarten movement.
