Particlularly, six files on the PALITA project which was a Programme for the Aboriginal Community using i.t.a.; records to government departments; correspondence concerning literacy of aboriginal communities; applications for a grant for the PALITA Programme; PALITA Lessons 1 to 11 - including teachers' notes; one file on the 'ita teaching of the bible', inlcuding samples of student work; one file on SIMLIT - Sudan Interior Mission, and the teaching of Amharic, the official language of Ethiopia, especially in the areas of religious education. Also, correspondence between the Sudan Interior Mission (Ethiopia) and Mr J. G. Stevenson in Australia, excerpts from reports of teaching adult literacy programmes in Ethiopia, and, SIMLIT handbooks (one in English and one in Amharic).
