Hargreaves, Maxwell Edgar (1923 - 1976)

Metallurgist

Born: 31 March 1923 Wedderburn, Victoria, Australia. Died: 2 September 1976.

Hargreaves, following a period in Cambridge, worked in the CSIR/O Division of Tribophysics 1949-64. In 1964 he was appointed to the chair of physical metallurgy at the University of Melbourne, a position he held until his death.
