Palaeontologist

Leading Ausralian palaeontologist and authority on Australian tertiary mollusca, Singleton joined the staff of the Geology department at the University of Melbourne in 1920. He was awarded the David Syme Research Prize in 1940, and became Associate Professor in Geology 1945.
