FROSTERLEY CLUB

Dear

Attached are some notes on the formation of the Frosterley Club of which you are a foundation member.

In response to a earlier circular many Bureau officers (retired, separated and active) having 15 years or more of service, indicated their interest in the formation of the Club and are now members. A list of members is attached.

Our address list is probably incomplete, so if you think there are some potential members who may have been overlooked, please supply me with their names and addresses.

The next luncheon will be held at the Carlton Bowling Club on 29 July 1976 commencing at 12.30 pm. I should be glad if you would let me know by 19 July 1976 if you wish to attend.

(R. B. CROWDER)
Secretary

The Frosterley Club

The first luncheon of the newly formed club was held at the Carlton Bowling Club on 24 June 1976 and was attended by approx. 50 members and guests. A good time was had by all.

Name of Club

"Frosterley" has been adopted as the name of the club as this was supported much more strongly than any other name suggested to the Committee.

Membership

The eligibility rules suggested by the Committee were supported by most potential members and have been adopted.

The rules are:

  1. all officers (retired, separated, active) having 20 years or more total service with the Bureau are automatically eligible
  2. .
  3. all officers (retired, separated, active) having 15 years or more total service are eligible if nominated and seconded by members.

All those having 15 years or more service with the Bureau who have applied for membership to date have been accepted.

Fees

The joining fee of $4 and the annual subscription of $2 may be forwarded to either the Secretary, or to the Treasurer Mr E A Mizon, 238 Gallaghers Road, Glen Waverley 3150. It has been agreed that there will be no fees for interstate and country members.

Guests

Officers (retired, separated or active) may be invited to club functions by a member after obtaining the formal approval of the Committee.
